Comparison of Compaction Alleviation Methods on Soil Health and Greenhouse Gas Emissions

چکیده

Soil compaction can occur due to trafficking by heavy equipment and be exacerbated unfavourable conditions such as wet weather. Compaction restrict crop growth increase waterlogging, which the production of greenhouse gas nitrous oxide. Cultivation used alleviate compaction, but this have negative impacts on earthworm abundance carbon dioxide. In study, a field was purposefully compacted using trafficking, then in replicated plot experiment, ploughing, low disturbance subsoiling application mycorrhizal inoculant were compared methods alleviation, over two years cropping. These terms bulk density, penetration resistance, yield, emissions abundance. Ploughing alleviated topsoil measured density penetrometer increased biomass one year although no yield differences seen. Earthworm reduced both cultivated plots, dioxide flux significantly, not significant summer months. Outside months, oxide non-cultivated treatments, attributed denitrifying activity under conditions.

on the comparison of keyword and semantic-context methods of learning new vocabulary meaning

the rationale behind the present study is that particular learning strategies produce more effective results when applied together. the present study tried to investigate the efficiency of the semantic-context strategy alone with a technique called, keyword method. to clarify the point, the current study seeked to find answer to the following question: are the keyword and semantic-context metho...

Biochar Impacts on Soil Physical Properties and Greenhouse Gas Emissions

Biochar, a co-product of a controlled pyrolysis process, can be used as a tool for sequestering C in soil to offset greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and as a soil amendment. Whereas the impacts of biochar application on soil chemical properties are widely known, the research information on soil physical properties is scarce. The objectives of this review are to (i) synthesize available data on s...

Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Energy Systems: Comparison and Overview

The paper provides an overview and comparison of Greenhouse Gas Emissions associated with fossil, nuclear and renewable energy systems. In this context both the direct technology-specific emissions and the contributions from full energy chains within the Life Cycle Assessment framework are considered. Examples illustrating the differences between countries and regional electricity mixes are als...

Experimental Methods for Research into Trading of Greenhouse Gas Emissions

Why should we conduct experiments in economics? Ultimately, we wish to test whether the predictions developed through a priori economic reasoning can safely be applied in field conditions that are generally much more complicated than the abstract environment in which the theorizing occurred. To test the theory we must collect data. Frequently naturally occurring data is not appropriate for test...

On strategies for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Equity is of fundamental concern in the quest for international cooperation to stabilize greenhouse gas concentrations by the reduction of emissions. By modeling the carbon cycle, we estimate the global CO(2) emissions that would be required to stabilize the atmospheric concentration of CO(2) at levels ranging from 450 to 1,000 ppm. These are compared, on both an absolute and a per-capita basis...
